Description

For the past seven years, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation has hosted Amplify: Empowering Educators of Color for Student Success, an annual event that supports educators of color in the Kansas City metro area. During the event thought leaders and practitioners from across the country and leaders and educators of color in the Kansas City region come together to learn from one another. This year’s conference will occur on Friday and Saturday, November 8 & 9, 2024, at the Kauffman Conference Center, 4801 Rockhill Road, Kansas City, Missouri. We seek in-person workshop submissions for the 2024 Conference: RECHARGE, RE-ENERGIZE & REIMAGINE. We seek interactive presentations that deliver learning experiences that help attendees become better practitioners, create spaces for inspiration and connection, and encourage healthy discourse and dialogue. Engaging formats, innovative ideas, diverse perspectives, and a focus on impact are encouraged. Presentations/sessions will be 75 minutes long, and no solicitation of a product or service will be allowed. If you have a presentation idea, you are encouraged to apply. All presenters are volunteers and will not be compensated for their service. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Presenters are encouraged to participate in the rest of the convening outside of their session. The request for Presenters opens on Saturday, June 1 at 12:01 PM CST and closes at 11:59 PM CST on Monday, July 8. All proposals must be submitted by 11:59 PM CST on Monday, July 22. Proposals will be evaluated based on their relevance to the conference theme, RECHARGE, RE-ENERGIZE & REIMAGINE.

Accepted presenters will be notified by August 12.

We look forward to receiving your proposals and seeing you at Amplify 2024!
